GCP-S Chiller –
Efficiency meets future-proofing
The GCP-S chiller offer maximum performance and reliability for industrial applications. With a power range of 8 to 200 kW and application with water or water-glycol mixtures, it guarantees precise and sustainable cooling for demanding processes.
Do you require higher cooling capacities (> 200 kW)? HYFRA offers customized solutions on request.
Future-proof thanks to the low-GWP refrigerant R513A
The series was specifically developed for the global market and uses the "low GWP" refrigerant R513A. It already meets all future legal requirements:
- EU*: GWP limit of 750 from 2027
- USA: GWP limit of 700 from 2026
- Due to the very low refrigerant filling quantity, the CO2 equivalent value is below the relevant limits, so an annual leak test in accordance with the F-Gas Regulation is generally not required.
- Air freight (non-hazardous goods) up to 12 kg. Simple setup with no additional security requirements.
*Cooling capacity > 12 kW: GWP limit of 750 / effective 2027
Future-proof in the long term with the natural refrigerant propane (R290)
- Extremely low GWP value (~3), ensuring long-term regulatory compliance.
- Safety built into the system. For propane, we provide practical recommendations for the safe and code-compliant installation of the unit.
- Propane’s excellent thermodynamic properties enable maximum energy efficiency.
- Propane not only offers high energy efficiency but also stable and, in the future, lower costs for refrigerant and maintenance - ensuring consistently low operating costs.
Global applicability & maximum energy efficiency
The GCP-S is already designed for the common mains voltages of (R513A: 400V/50Hz & 460V/60Hz | R290: 400V/50Hz). All models meet the strict energy efficiency standards (EU) 2015/1095 and (EU) 2016/2281, thus achieving significant operating cost savings throughout the entire product life cycle.
Compact design
The appliance dimensions have been optimised so that little space is required for installation despite the high cooling capacity.
Precise temperature control & smart sensors
The cooling performance remains constant under all conditions:
- Temperature stability as standard: ±1K (option: ±0.5K).
- Temperature range: Coolant outlet temperature -5°C to 30°C, ambient temperature -20°C to 55°C.
In addition, an extensive sensor technology is installed that monitors important operating parameters, including supply temperature, supply pressure, and tank level. Enables predictive maintenance, making it easier to plan maintenance intervals and reducing unplanned downtime.
User-friendly
Intuitive display with text-based interface for easy operation.
How does a cooling water chiller work?
This chiller operates in a closed loop and ensures that the process is maintained at a constant temperature. The medium is cooled to the defined setpoint temperature within the unit and fed to the consumer via a pump. There, it absorbs the process heat generated and is then returned to the chiller, where the heat is dissipated. This continuous control loop minimizes temperature fluctuations and ensures high process stability.
Versatile Applications
Cooling water is a crucial factor in numerous industrial applications:
- Laser processing: Precise temperature control for optics, laser sources, and other components.
- Plastic injection molding: Effective cooling of tools to ensure consistent production results.
- Power electronics: Temperature management for electronic components and systems.
In addition to powerful cooling water chillers, our product range also includes the HYFRA eChilly / eChilly+ mini chillers, which offer compact solutions for smaller applications.
